Tempur-Pedic® is an American mattress company founded in 1991, which sells memory foam mattresses, mattress toppers, and pillows. Memory foam is produced from Polyurethane based memory foam material, TEMPUR®. Tempur-Pedic® has three manufacturing facilities.

Tempur-Pedic® uses Visco-Elastic Memory foam, which was originally designed for NASA for use in the space program. Tempur-Pedic® was awarded the “Space Certified Technology Seal” by the space foundation, which certifies that the product technology was derived from the United States experiments with space.
Tempur-Pedic® memory foam mattresses are usually priced much higher than standard mattresses. The company offers a 20 year warranty claiming that memory foam mattresses last longer than spring mattresses.
